Flashback Friday: CLARK Truclift27 January 2017 
IT'S FLASHBACK FRIDAY! -When companies claim to be ‘first’ in the material handling industry, they are typically referring to industrial trucks powered by electric motors, not internal combustion (IC) engines. CLARK invented the Tructractor, the first IC material handling truck, in 1917. Next, CLARK introduced the Truclift (shown in this photo) in 1920, the first IC platform lift truck. In 1924 the Duat, with “tiering” attachment, was the first IC forklift and in 1928 another first, the hydraulic lift, was released. Categories |
