Flashback Friday: CLARK C5007 October 2016 
It's FLASHBACK FRIDAY! - This photo of a Grumman F-14 marks a milestone in aviation history, the 100th of this aircraft to roll off the production line. From 1974 to 2006, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat served as the U.S. Navy’s primary air superiority fighter and an important multi-role combat aircraft. Grumman built 714 Tomcats during its run. If you look closely on the left side of the photo, you’ll find (under a sea of aviation workers) another venerable machine, a CLARK model C500 (100/120/135) towing the aircraft. This heavy-duty cushion-tire truck was built from 1971 to 1997. Categories |
